Every Wednesday is the meeting point for the week’s cinema releases. As we are punctual, we offer you a new selection of films freshly released in theaters.

1. Stay Awhile by Gad Elmaleh

Gad Elmaleh returns in front of and behind the camera. As a director, and playing his own role, the comedian delivers a more personal film. With its documentary-like airs, this film remains as light-hearted as Gad knows how to make it, but also more touching, with a very human note.

2. The Almond Trees by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi

This film was part of the Official Selection in the Competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. The plot is set in the late 80s. We follow the story of a theater troupe trying to enter the prestigious Amandiers Theater School in Nanterre. This feature film promises to offer performances from fabulous actors embodying their roles.

3. A Romantic Comedy by Thibault Segouin

A title that aptly summarizes the film. As the name suggests, we follow the passionate love story of a woman who reunites with the man of her life, after he has become the father of a little girl. A film with glamorous photography, capturing all the romance of the City of Light.

4. Coma by Bertrand Bonello

A film that promises to be very intriguing. It involves a young girl with the power to make us experience her dreams, but also her nightmares. Her only connection with the world is purely virtual. The aesthetic approach is quite ambitious, with live-action sequences alternating with traditional hand-drawn animation and stop-motion.

5. More Than Ever by Emily Atef

This film was part of the Official Selection in the Un Certain Regard category at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. It is a romance carried by the actor duo Vicky Krieps and Gaspard Ulliel. A film of great beauty, enhanced by images shot in Norway, transporting us to these magnificent landscapes. A love story that we won’t soon forget.
