Conference on January 22 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Espace Garibaldi
organized by the UNION OF RESERVE OFFICERS OF THE CÔTE D’AZUR
Today’s multipolar world presents a chaotic spectacle of international relations. No part of the world can be safe from the means of mass destruction. Armed conflicts primarily inflame the Middle East, Africa without sparing other territories.
France must possess the technical and military means to defend its territory. However, its best weapon remains the spirit of defense that should animate every responsible citizen. The citizen soldier is already playing their role. The reservist citizen is fully involved in this defense logic. Finally, no citizen should feel excluded from the duty also incumbent in the defense of their country.
Within numerous patriotic associations, Dr. Francisque Commandré, who has just left us, constantly campaigned to strengthen the ARMY-NATION bond and attempted to compensate for the suspension of military service, which deprived us of a foundational crucible of the French Nation.
To perpetuate his action and as a token of recognition for his relentless activity, the Union of Reserve Officers of the Côte d’Azur, of which he was President, proposes the first in a series of “Citizen and Reservist Meetings.”
Objectives
Offered to an audience aged 18 to 77, these events are intended to incite, maintain, or accompany the civic spirit present in each of our compatriots, by informing them of the dangers of major risks we may face locally (earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc.), and of the armed conflicts in which our army is engaged.
Some pathways available to support the City of Nice and the armed forces within the framework of the CIVIL and CITIZEN RESERVE and the OPERATIONAL CITIZEN RESERVE.
