The new ecological model of the brand with the chevron logo has been available since May 11. An exclusive partnership with the company FNAC-DARTY allows it to be distributed in more than thirty-nine stores in France.
This 100% electric car is part of a new strategy for manufacturers to democratize non-polluting transportation.
Basic features
This compact car measures only 2.61 m in length. It can move around the city with a range of 75 km without needing a recharge. The recharging time is three hours for a full charge and five minutes to cover two km. The vehicle can drive up to 45 km/h. Thus, one only needs to be at least fourteen years old and possess the BSR (Brevet Sécurité Routière) to drive it.
Obvious limitations
To offer the price of €6,900, certain concessions had to be made, particularly in terms of finishes. Customizations are not included and are sold separately from the original product. In total, six packs are offered to modify the vehicle, ranging from color to wheel trims.
An incentive to buy a clean vehicle
This vehicle is intended to be accessible to the general public. However, it is not. It specifically targets city residents in major cities. Indeed, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has equipped the 49 municipalities with more than 500 charging points. “It’s an opportunity and an obligation for us to welcome this vehicle at Fnac Nice. Nice is a city very oriented towards urban mobility. At FNAC Nice, we are leaders in the sale of electric vehicles, electric scooters, and hoverboards. The FNAC-DARTY group has invested a lot, so it was natural to welcome the Citroën Ami with us,” says Laurent Champenois, director of FNAC Nice.
