On Saturday, April 13, 2024, there will be a garbage collection event for the streets of Nice and the entire southern region.
Each year, 3,600,000 tons of household waste and similar waste are collected in the region. For the second time, the Southern Region is organizing a major garbage collection operation across the entire regional territory. With participation from the municipalities, associations, businesses, high school students, and residents, this event will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024. The meeting time is at 8:45 am at 83 Quai des รtats-Unis in Nice.
โClean the Southโ is committed to zero waste in the Southern Region. Since 2017, climate issues have been at the heart of the Southern Region’s priorities, which has become a leading area for energy transition in France. 2023 marked the first edition of this major cleaning operation. For the second edition, the aim is to create a popular gathering in favor of the environment.ย
On Saturday, April 13, Christian Estrosi and his deputy for cleanliness, Pierre-Paul Leonelli, will be in Nice to participate in the garbage collection and be alongside the residents and all volunteers. This year, nearly 300 municipalities will be simultaneously participating in the operation.
