It is one of the six paths to access the Castle Hill and had been closed since 2016. It is now accessible again.
The Eberlé path, accessible from Ségurane Street, was closed in 2016 to facilitate the development of the Garibaldi/Le Château station for the tram line 2.
If this path remained inaccessible for more than two years after the completion of the tram line work, it is because additional work was needed on this route. The City of Nice indeed had to undertake slope reinforcement work, restore the surface paving, and reconstruct a traditional masonry structure to secure this path.
You can now once again take the brand-new Eberlé path to access the Castle Hill.
