Following the heavy storms in November 2019 that caused landslides, a private plot on Avenue Saqui had been weakened, making traffic dangerous.
The private plot was closed as a safety measure, and alternating traffic was implemented while the property carried out work on the avenue.
Although it was responsible for handling the work on its section of Avenue Saqui, the Rouret co-ownership remained inactive for nearly two years. In light of this inaction, it was the City of Nice that carried out the work, with the agreement of the judicial court on July 29th.
Two months later, after removing unstable elements from the embankment, clearing the plot, installing 139 reinforcement anchors from 3 to 10 meters deep, and putting up a mesh to stabilize the embankment, the work is completed, and Avenue Saqui has been reopened to traffic since last Friday.
