In the presence of Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, president of the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council, the exhibition “Paroles et visages” by Eric Lenglemetz and Noelie Pansiot and “La Grande Traversรฉe” by Emmanuel Juppeaux has concluded.

Through twenty-three photographs, the second floor of the exhibition retraces Emmanuel Juppeaux’s sixteen-stage journey. It highlights the landscapes and richness of the Mercantour National Park.

On the first floor, “Paroles et visages du Mercantour” focuses on the people who live within the park itself, with black and white portraits and their testimonies.

For the 40th anniversary of the Mercantour National Park, Charles Ange Ginรฉsy wanted to express his attachment and pride in Mercantour. It was an opportunity to review the initiatives implemented.

“40 years later, the park remains a major issue.”

The Green Deal plan aims to protect the territory’s resources. Protecting new natural spaces to preserve biodiversity, combating waste with an experiment in twenty-two middle schools, creating a website to disseminate messages, encouraging carpooling, and tripling the budget for the renovation of bicycle paths, the department wants to prioritize eco-responsible initiatives. Charles Ange Ginรฉsy affirms, even “40 years later, the park remains a major issue.”

On January 2nd, the Alpes Azur Mercantour territory became the third international dark sky reserve in France, a recognition that demonstrates the efforts made to reduce light pollution and protect nocturnal biodiversity.

The president of the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council wanted to congratulate the artists, as nearly 4,600 people came to discover the exhibition.
