On Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Place Masséna, associations, led by Familles sans frontière and the Association pour la démocratie among others, are organizing an “exceptional circle” to collect school supplies for families who are not eligible for the back-to-school allowance.
The purpose of this collection is to prevent these young people from families without papers and in economic difficulty from facing the physical and psychological humiliation of starting school in conditions different from their peers.
All types of school supplies are requested.
An event on the theme of the right to education is scheduled and will be hosted by M’Bady Diabate, a Guinean Kora player recognized on the Nice music scene, along with a guitarist and percussionist.
