From Thursday, November 25 to Saturday, November 27, a collection and meetings with the association Une voix pour elles will be organized at the central square in Cap 3000.
The association Une voix pour elles, based in Peymeinade, works in favor of women victims of domestic violence in the Alpes-Maritimes region. It organizes listening and rebuilding workshops by orchestrating, for example, phototherapy workshops—to work on self-esteem—self-defense workshops, and workshops to help return to employment.
Among its various actions, the association has two main ones. The first, “let’s move!” action, consists of providing entirely free moving and storage services for women fleeing a violent partner. These women must first be registered with a social structure, such as CCAS, MSD, or an emergency center, to benefit from this service.
The association then takes care of moving the woman who has sought their help, and they store her personal belongings for the time it takes for her to rebuild herself in a shelter. When the woman wants to move into new housing, the re-housing service will also be provided by the association.
Une voix pour elles also creates “a box for her.” These are personal hygiene kits redistributed to women housed in women’s shelters and emergency accommodation centers. These kits are made from products obtained during collections like the one planned at Cap 3000.
As a reminder, this collection is part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, celebrated on November 25.
