As part of the 1st anniversary of Nice being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a “Winter Resort Town of the Riviera,” a fireworks display will take place on Saturday, August 27 starting at 10 PM on the Quai des États-Unis.

Nice’s UNESCO Listing

Indeed, on July 27, 2021, the city of Nice was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site during the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee held online from Fuzhou, China.

It was listed as the city of the winter resort of the Riviera with an area of 522 hectares. In this area: the Promenade des Anglais, Mount Boron, the hills of Cimiez, as well as urban planning, landscaping, and the architectural heritage of hotels and villas or recreational buildings.
