Evening program:

« ANGELS AND DEMONS »

Franz Liszt: « Music, a divine and satanic art at once — more than all others, it leads us into temptation »

J.-Y. Clément, General Commissioner of the Liszt Year in France: « This recital aims to illustrate this with three masterpieces of Lisztian piano: Benediction of God in Solitude and Mephisto Waltz, which are like the two sides of this torn vision of music, and the Sonata in B minor, a kind of admirable synthesis and conciliation of this fundamental duality; it constitutes the accomplishment of Liszt’s art, and like the perfect summary of his life as well as his quest. »
