If you missed her at the Nice Jazz Festival where she was a guest on stage with the Nice Jazz Orchestra of Pierre Bertrand, at La Colle-sur-Loup or at Beaulieu-sur-Mer, you still have a chance to meet her. She is Janysett McPherson, a Cuban pianist and singer.
Caught up in her rehearsals, she hadn’t had time to organize a benefit concert for the Harmonia Mundi Boutique before, but she promised to do so. This will happen on Thursday, August 1st, starting at 6 PM, at the Harmonia Mundi Boutique located at 33 Rue de l’Hôtel des Postes. Confirmation from the bassist currently in Senegal is still awaited, and it would therefore be a trio that would be on stage, surprise!
And this will not be the last event of this mythical place of music on the Côte d’Azur, which will unfortunately be closing its doors soon. Blanche “La Mamie Slam,” an 82-year-old woman from Nice, moved by this sad announced end, has also decided to come and slam in tribute to this unique musical meeting place in the entire region.
