Maison de lโEnvironnement โ 31 Av. Castellane
The Maison de lโEnvironnement offers you a journey back in time of 450,000 years, to the era of fire discovery!
This conference aims to trace the evolution of the various methods used for fire production. We will explore how you can ignite an ember by rubbing two pieces of wood together or by striking two stones.
This presentation will also be an opportunity to discover or rediscover the means used to produce fire during Antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the modern era.
The invention of matches and lighters using first gasoline and then gas will conclude this overview of fire production.
This conference will be illustrated with numerous slides and ignition demonstrations.
