The Young Economic Chamber of the Nice Metropolis (JCEMN) launches the platform that lists essential stores during this period of confinement.
They see opportunities in complicated situations. Difficulty, for them, rhymes with challenge. The members of JCEMN are confined but not inactive. For the past few days, they have been cataloging essential shops in the Nice Metropolis and integrating them into an interactive map on their website: https://www.jcemn.fr/plan. Solidarissime helps limit travel during this confinement period, avoid crowds in supermarkets, and especially support local businesses.
“Our goal is to act in our territories and implement projects to improve them,” reminds Anissa BOT, this year’s president of JCEMN. And its volunteers, aged 18 to 40, have grasped the relevance of Covid-19 by finding support for economic players and simplifying the efforts of those confined who wish to limit their movements.
This project was initiated by the Young Economic Chamber of Salon de Provence and has resonated with over twenty other local young economic chambers across the metropolitan territory.
“We must anticipate solutions that will facilitate the recovery of our society; let’s help our country learn the right lessons from this situation,” insists JCEMN, which belongs to a national movement built in France, during the post-war period. “The association members want to find ways together to help our society and position themselves as facilitators in the face of this social distancing.”
They are not scientists; they do not have the means to find the antidote. But on a local, regional, and national level, they are a structured and organized network. “We can be that breath of positive air our society is going to need greatly.”
Providing innovative solutions to adapt to sometimes old issues, allowing people with sometimes bold ideas to implement them thanks to the synergy and energy of a group when it is difficult to bring them out alone, enriching projects with insights from people from different sectors without barriers, those are the objectives of JCEMN, which positions itself as an incubator of citizen leaders.
