During the national week of Craftsmanship, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the PACA region is committed to highlighting the strengths of craftsmanship with a view to sustainable economic recovery, as shown by the key figures.

185,000 businesses, 365,000 active workers, €27.5 billion in revenue

This is an opportunity to shed light on a business model that concretely addresses current social, economic, and environmental concerns: the artisan enterprise.

Serving both as a pillar of recovery and a player in the digital and ecological transitions, craftsmanship possesses numerous assets to build a future that resembles us and, more importantly, brings us together: sustainable, connected, professional, committed, and profoundly human. To convey this message, the network of CMAs (Chambers of Trades and Crafts) is mobilizing around a common national event that honors craftsmanship and its stakeholders.

Throughout the week, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the PACA region is organizing several local events to discover the craftsmanship trades and the artisans’ expertise.

This significant moment is marked this year by the importance of a sustainable economic recovery for artisans, severely impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis. As all businesses reopened last May 19, the French people’s attachment to the artisans and merchants who bring life to the regions every day has intensified.

Moreover, craftsmanship is recognized as France’s leading enterprise, known for the professional opportunities it offers to both young and older people, as it trains, recruits, and fosters growth.
