On the occasion of the second “Polar ร Drap” crime novel festival, which will take place on September 27 & 28, the cultural service of the municipality of Drap, legally organizes a photography competition.
The theme of the crime novel will leave its fingerprints on the film.
However, the authors of these images will have to adhere to certain conditions.
Indeed, the evidence to be provided will comply with the conditions set by the informants.
Namely:
The submitted photographs must be in black and white, with a maximum size of 2048 x 1536 pixels (A4 print) and must include an element of the Paillon Valley (monuments, roads, characters, signs, etc.) as a clue.
Your “dark” prints will be judged by the deliberation of personalities present at the festival.
Your “sentence” will be to accept a reward worthy of your deed.
The rules and registration form are available on the website of the City of Drap at www.ville-drap.fr or can be picked up at the City Hall.
The deadline for submitting entries is September 15, 2008.
The contest is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional.

Photo Contest โ RULES
ARTICLE 1
The town of Drap organizes from May 15, 2008, to September 15, 2008, a photographic competition entitled:
“Polar in the Paillon Valleys”
Participation in this competition is free. It is open to all photographers, amateur or professional, from the age of 7, excluding completely the organizing members.
School classes may participate.
Participation in this competition implies full and entire acceptance of these rules.
ARTICLE 2
Photos must have been taken between May 15, 2008, and September 15, 2008, in the Paillon Valleys.
ARTICLE 3
A maximum of three photos will be admitted per person or class
They must be in black and white:
Size: 2048 x 1536 pixels (A4 print)
The photos must not be mounted or framed and must be accompanied by the participation form. On the back of each photo: names, address, and phone number of the participants. Any incomplete or illegible form will be considered invalid.
ARTICLE 4
Digital images will be accepted provided the author can justify ownership of the photo processed by computer technique.
ARTICLE 5
Photos must be submitted or sent before midnight on September 15, 2008, to the following address:

ARTICLE 6
The organizers will take the utmost care of the submissions, but decline all responsibility in case of damage, loss, or theft.
Participation in the contest implies that the authors agree to allow the organizers to use their photograph free of charge, and to cite their name in connection with exhibitions, press announcements, or any other event related to the promotion of the “Polar ร Drap” crime novel festival. Photos may be used in any information medium.
ARTICLE 7
A prize will be awarded individually and per class.
ARTICLE 8
The jury will consist of the organizers, photographers, and various personalities. Their decisions will be final.
The names of the winners will be displayed in the town hall and their works may be published.
The winners will be notified by mail by the organizers.
