The coronavirus epidemic has claimed 14 new victims since yesterday. 228 clusters are currently active, including nine in Mayenne where gatherings are now prohibited.

“Every day, more than a hundred people with Covid-19 are admitted to the hospital,” warns the General Directorate of Health in its press release on July 28.

In the last 24 hours, 14 patients suffering from coronavirus have died. The total death toll since the beginning of the epidemic stands at 30,223. 5,551 people are still receiving care, including 385 in intensive care, which is 13 fewer patients than yesterday.

The continued widespread circulation of the virus, as emphasized by the DGS, is highlighted by the nearly 500,000 tests conducted each week (with a 1.3% incidence rate), a ratio of 9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and an R number of 1.3 at the national average.
