The Covid figures from the National Public Health Agency (Santรฉ Publique France) continue to be released daily. Over the past 24 hours, statistics show a slight decrease in new cases, but not enough to change the current situation.


France recorded 15,944 new cases of Covid-19 and 151 deaths in the past 24 hours, nearly 4,000 fewer cases compared to the latest figures from Santรฉ Publique France.

Following a statement from the Ministry of Health released this Sunday, an initial delivery of Moderna vaccine doses, recently authorized by the European Union (EU), is scheduled for this Monday. This delivery aims to enhance vaccination capabilities in the regions most affected by the virus, namely the Grand Est, Auvergne-Rhรดne-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comtรฉ, and Provence-Alpes-Cรดte dโ€™Azur.

In the Hautes-Alpes, a positive case of the British variant of Covid-19 was confirmed following an analysis of samples by the National Reference Center. The news was announced this Sunday by the Regional Health Agency. The individual with this variant is part of a French family residing in the United Kingdom who came to France to stay during the holiday season.

This person and their at-risk contacts have been isolated immediately upon receipt of the positive RT-PCR test result.
