Coronavirus: 19,590 new cases and 352 deaths in 24 hours

This Tuesday, health authorities have reported 19,590 new Covid-19 cases and 352 deaths in hospitals. The total number now stands at 3,489,129 confirmed cases and 82,812 deaths (including 58,578 in hospitals) since the beginning of the epidemic in December 2019. The test positivity rate stabilizes and remains at 5.9%.

Over the past seven days, hospitals have admitted 9,383 new patients, with 1,702 in intensive care. In total, 26,239 patients are hospitalized and 3,348 are in intensive care. Among those discharged home, 244,238 have recovered from the virus.

According to the latest information received by the French Public Health Agency, 2,298,086 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine in France.

– Ile-de-France: 5,095 hospitalized and 40 deaths
– Auvergne-Rhรดne-Alpes: 3,564 hospitalized and 20 deaths
– Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur: 3,467 hospitalized and 17 deaths
– Hauts-de-France: 2,553 hospitalized and 8 deaths
– Grand Est: 2,536 hospitalized and 21 deaths
– Occitanie: 1,787 hospitalized and 9 deaths
– Bourgogne-Franche-Comtรฉ: 1,603 hospitalized and 14 deaths
– Nouvelle-Aquitaine: 1,481 hospitalized and 8 deaths
– Normandie: 1,281 hospitalized and 6 deaths
– Centre-Val-de-Loire: 1,063 hospitalized and 6 deaths
– Pays-de-la-Loire: 895 hospitalized and 8 deaths
– Bretagne: 717 hospitalized and 5 deaths

In the PACA region:

In the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur region, 1,652 people are hospitalized (-50), 446 people are in intensive care (+8), and 5,257 people have died of Covid-19 in hospitals since the beginning of the health crisis (+39).

As of today, 184,597 people have received a first dose of the vaccine throughout the region. 47,374 have received both doses.

Among the Covid figures for the region, Alpes-Maritimes has 350 conventional hospitalizations (-10), 99 patients in intensive care (-3), 241 in follow-up care and rehabilitation (+2), and 961 hospital deaths since the start of the crisis (+7).

The test positivity rate is 7.3% across the entire PACA region (compared to 7.6% the previous day). The Alpes-Maritimes department is the most affected with a rate of 9.0%. Additionally, the incidence rate is 345 per 100,000 inhabitants in the region (compared to 367 previously). In the 06 area, it is 493, making it the highest of all departments in PACA.
