21,228 new cases in 24 hours in France, according to the latest figures from Santรฉ Publique France. 283 deaths have been recorded, bringing the total toll to 69,313 since the beginning of the epidemic.

Since the start of 2021, the number of new cases per day has not fallen below 20,000. Another piece of bad news that takes the government further away from its goals, particularly the target of 5,000 daily cases, which would signify control over the pandemic.

In total, 24,983 people have been hospitalized across the country since the early days of the health crisis, including 1,691 in the past 24 hours. 206 new admissions to intensive care units have been recorded in the span of one day.

According to the latest information, 318,216 people have been vaccinated this Thursday, an increase of 71,049 in one day. 30.4% of the received vaccine doses have been used.
