In the last 24 hours, health authorities have recorded 23,507 new Covid-19 cases and 239 deaths in France, according to the latest information provided by the French Public Health Agency.
The total count now stands at 3,859,102 confirmed cases and 88,300 deaths (including 63,126 in hospitals) since the start of the health crisis.
The test positivity rate remains stable: 7.3%. As of March 4, 3,392,269 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine across the national territory.
9,222 new hospitalizations and 1,977 intensive care admissions have been recorded over the last seven days.
In the PACA region
In the PACA region, 1,520 people are hospitalized (-21), 477 people are in intensive care (-4), and 5,898 deaths have been recorded in hospitals since the start of the crisis (+40).
As of February 28, 256,780 people have received at least a first dose of the vaccine (an increase of 8,517) and 142,633 people have received both doses (an increase of 6,369).
In the Alpes-Maritimes, there are 382 conventional hospitalizations (+10), 114 in intensive care (-5), 193 patients in follow-up and rehabilitation care (-5), and 1,106 hospital deaths since the start of the epidemic (+12).
As a reminder, the Alpes-Maritimes holds the highest incidence rate in the PACA region: 566 (compared to 363 for the entire region). It is in this department where the test positivity rate remains the highest: 10.1% (compared to 8.1% for all of PACA).
