The coronavirus epidemic continues to progress again in France, where 2,846 new cases have been detected in the past 24 hours, the general directorate of Health (DGS) announced on Thursday, August 13, in its daily report. More than 12,947 cases have been identified in one week.

18 people have died from Covid in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 30,406 victims. 173 new hospital admissions have been recorded, for a total of 4,828 patients currently hospitalized. Among them, 20 new severe patients have been admitted to intensive care, bringing the number of patients in these units to 367.

342 “clusters,” or outbreaks of contagion, are still active in the territory, including 27 new ones that have been detected in the last 24 hours. Between August 5 and 11, 609,527 tests were conducted in the territory, with a positivity rate of 2.4%โ€”a figure that has been steadily increasing for several days. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 108,956 people have been hospitalized and 83,848 have returned home.
