This Monday, the latest information from Santรฉ Publique France indicated that the number of Coronavirus patients hospitalized continues to rise across the country, with nearly 29,000 patients, and 310 people have died in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 67,750 since the start of the epidemic.
3,582 new cases were recorded, compared to nearly 16,000 last Sunday. This figure is explained by the lower number of tests conducted compared to those performed last weekend.
The number of hospitalizations, meanwhile, remains on the rise. 2,666 patients are in intensive care compared to 2,602 last Sunday. The positivity rate has decreased very slightly: 6.4% compared to 6.5% on Sunday.
The latest Covid numbers from the region
In the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur (PACA) region, the latest Covid figures show that 1,148 people are hospitalized, with 47 more in the last 24 hours. 312 people are in intensive care (13 more than yesterday), and 3,842 people have died (83 more deaths).
The Alpes-Maritimes department is the second most affected in terms of hospital deaths with 671, 15 more in 24 hours, behind Bouches-du-Rhรดnes (1,887 deaths, 37 more). The 06 accounts for 284 conventional hospitalizations (24 more), 76 in intensive care (seven more), and 201 patients in SSR (four fewer).
