Since the start of the epidemic, 30,172 people have died after contracting Covid-19 in France, including 253 in the Alpes-Maritimes (188 in hospitals, 65 in nursing homes and other facilities).
According to figures from the Directorate General of Health (DGS) published on Wednesday, July 22, 6,366 patients are still being cared for by hospital services, 455 of whom are in intensive care.
“The virus is circulating throughout the entire national territory,” indicates the DGS, highlighting the growing number of clusters. Of the 561 detected since May 9, 212 are still active, and 14 were discovered in one day.
