According to the coronavirus data published by the national agency Santé publique France, seven new deaths related to Covid-19 have been recorded in the last 24 hours in French hospitals.
The total number of deaths due to the virus, since the start of the epidemic in March, now reaches 29,640, according to the latest figures provided by the organization.
These figures do not account for the latest deaths occurring in nursing homes and medical-social centers, an update of which will be made on June 23.
As of today, 9,823 patients are still being treated in French hospitals. The number of patients with a severe form of the disease continues to decrease in intensive care units, where 715 of them remain hospitalized.
