In face of controversies (often spurious), the prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes, in a communiquรฉ, wanted to remind people of the facts.
In Alpes-Maritimes, an initial delivery received on March 20 at the territorial hospital group concerned both public and private health institutions as well as EHPADs: 291,000 surgical masks and 106,580 FFP2 masks were thus distributed, making a total of 397,580 masks.
The second delivery, received on March 27 at the territorial hospital group, involved public and private health institutions, medico-social establishments (for people with disabilities and the elderly), emergency transporters, and home nursing services. A total of 241,650 surgical masks and 106,550 FFP2 masks were distributed, amounting to 348,200 masks in total.
For independent healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, dentists, midwives) and home care services, 153,510 surgical masks and 13,600 FFP2 masks were distributed to pharmacies by wholesale distributors, totaling 167,110 masks.
Thus, to date, more than 910,000 protective masks have been distributed by the State to health institutions and professionals, as well as to the medico-social sector in Alpes-Maritimes.
These distributions are in addition to those carried out by the State for its own services as well as for emergency services.
A new delivery is scheduled for April 6, specifically aimed at social reintegration and accommodation centers.
