The Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur Regional Health Agency and the Prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes announce that the first person has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus in Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur. It is reportedly a woman from Cannes.
This patient is currently being cared for by the Nice University Hospital. Her clinical condition does not show any signs of severity. A crisis unit has been activated by the ARS Paca.
This patient, who stayed in Milan and exhibited symptoms such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, went on February 27th to the dedicated coronavirus consultation set up by the Nice University Hospital and was subsequently transferred to one of the rooms specially prepared to accommodate individuals who test positive for the Coronavirus.
Additional investigations are being conducted by the ARS Paca.
A crisis unit was immediately set up by the Regional Health Agency, in collaboration with the Regional Unit of Santรฉ publique France, to identify persons who may have been in close and prolonged contact with this individual.
