Christian Estrosi requested – by letter – to the Minister of Health the immediate delivery to Nice of the missing medical supplies (suitable masks, hydroalcoholic gels, gloves, etc.) to allow for their distribution to the healthcare workers on the ground.
“I am requesting the Ministry of Solidarity and Health to ensure the rapid delivery of these products to the Nice University Hospital and the pharmacies in the Alpes-Maritimes department,” he stated in a press release.
The City of Nice has decided to release its stock of 4,500 masks, providing 3,000 to the Nice University Hospital and the Lenval Foundation, and 1,500 to the private healthcare practitioners through their professional orders.
