15,729 deaths, the heaviest toll in 24 hours, the decrease in ICU needs is confirmed

Jérôme Salomon, the Director General of Health, announced on Tuesday that there have been 15,729 deaths in France since March 1st, including 10,129 in hospitals and 5,600 in social and medico-social establishments.

France has surpassed the milestone of 100,000 cases (103,573, an increase of 5,497).

There are still 32,292 people hospitalized due to a Covid-19 infection (1,965 new admissions, a net increase of 179 patients).

Furthermore, there are still 6,730 patients in intensive care (275 new admissions, a net decrease of 91 patients). “The decrease in ICU needs is confirmed,” declared the Director General of Health, announcing that there have been 28,805 recoveries, discharged from the hospital.
