France has reached a new milestone in its vaccination campaign. Since its launch, more than 5 million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine as of March 14.
In the last 24 hours, health authorities have recorded 6,471 new Covid-19 cases and 333 deaths in France, according to the latest information provided by the French Public Health Agency.
The total count now stands at 4,078,133 confirmed cases and 90,788 deaths (including 65,477 in hospitals) since the start of the health crisis.
The test positivity rate has slightly increased compared to last year: 7.4% (compared to 7.2%). As of March 11, 5,135,616 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine across the entire national territory.
9,855 new hospitalizations and 2,266 admissions to intensive care have been recorded over the past seven days.
In the PACA region
In the PACA region, 1,468 people are hospitalized (+33), 512 people are in intensive care (+28), and 6,226 people have died from Covid-19 in hospitals since the beginning of the health crisis (+86).
In the Alpes-Maritimes, 366 people are hospitalized (+29), 128 people are in intensive care (+12), and 1,197 people have died in hospitals since the beginning of the pandemic (+23).
As of March 12, 408,427 people have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine throughout the region. Among them, 183,605 people have already received two doses.
