The Ministry of Health conducted its daily report. Here are the main points to note this Sunday, May 3:
– 5,815 people are currently hospitalized due to a Covid-19 infection, including 345 new admissions in the last 24 hours;
– 3,819 patients are currently in intensive care. “80 new severe cases have been admitted, the balance remains negative in intensive care thanks to discharges with 8 fewer COVID-19 patients,” the ministry specified.
– In total, France has 24,895 deaths since March 1 (15,583 in hospitals and 9,312 in social and medical-social establishments, mainly nursing homes), including 135 in the last 24 hours (compared to 166 the previous day). This is the lowest daily toll since March 22.
