The Alpes-Maritimes remain in a situation of “high vulnerability,” a classification determined by Public Health France based on all the indicators monitoring the epidemic.

5,453 new positive diagnoses have been recorded, compared to 7,379 on Friday, 6,111 on Thursday, and 5,429 on Wednesday, which constituted new records since widespread testing began.

The positivity rate of the tests (number of positive individuals divided by the number of people tested) continued to rise, reaching 4% over the past seven days, compared to 3.9% announced on Friday, 3.8% on Thursday, and 3.6% on Wednesday.

4,530 people were hospitalized due to Covid-19, which is five fewer than on Thursday, including 400 patients in intensive care, an increase of 13 in 24 hours.

Since the start of the epidemic, 30,602 people have died in France, an increase of 6 in 24 hours, including 20,095 in hospitals and 10,507 (data from Thursday) in social and medico-social establishments.
