The Ministry of Health provided its daily update on the epidemic in France on Friday evening.
The number of people hospitalized due to a Covid-19 infection is 14,695 (compared to 17,583 a week ago), and 255 new admissions were recorded in the past twenty-four hours (compared to 271 a week ago).
1,361 patients with a severe form of Covid-19 are in intensive care (compared to 1,745 a week ago), with 29 new severe cases admitted to intensive care (compared to 28 a week ago). The balance remains negative, with 68 fewer Covid-19 patients compared to yesterday.
101,390 people have been hospitalized since the beginning of the epidemic, including 17,904 in intensive care. 67,803 people have returned home.
28,714 people (+61 in 24 hours) have died, including 18,387 in hospitals and 10,327 in social and medico-social establishments.
