The coronavirus epidemic has resulted in 22,856 deaths in France since March 1, according to the latest report published by the French Directorate General of Health on Sunday, April 26. In the past 24 hours, 242 more people have succumbed to the disease. This number represents a significant decrease.
The number of deaths is divided between 14,202 recorded in hospitals and 8,654 recorded in social and medico-social establishments, including nursing homes.
Currently, 28,217 patients remain hospitalized for a Covid-19 infection. Five fewer than yesterday.
