Covid figures in France
In the last 24 hours, health authorities have recorded 292 deaths in France, according to the latest information provided by Santé Publique France agency. The total death toll now stands at 92,648 (including 67,530 in hospitals) since the start of the health crisis.
The positivity rate of tests has slightly decreased compared to last year: 7.9% (versus 8%). As of March 21, 6,199,118 people have received at least one vaccine dose across the entire national territory.
11,367 new hospitalizations and 2,522 admissions to intensive care have been recorded over the past seven days.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in France, 6,595,920 people have received at least one injection (9.8% of the total population and 12.6% of the adult population) and 2,522,337 people have received two injections (3.8% of the total population and 4.8% of the adult population)
In the PACA region
In the PACA region, 1,469 people are hospitalized (-42), 510 people are in intensive care, and 6,462 people have died in hospitals since the start of the crisis (+32).
In the Alpes-Maritimes, 337 people are hospitalized (-13), 112 people are in intensive care (-5), and 1,260 people have died in hospitals since the start of the pandemic (+7).
At the regional level, viral circulation remains high and above the national level. The test positivity rate has slightly decreased to 7.9% and the incidence rate is stable at 346 per 100,000 inhabitants. The situation seems to be improving in the Alpes-Maritimes. However, it is worsening in the Vaucluse.
As of March 21, 529,596 people have received at least a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in the PACA region. 207,821 have received both doses. In total, more than 46% of people aged 75 and over in the region have received one vaccine dose. More than 22% have received both doses. It is worth noting that over 20,000 vaccine doses were administered this weekend thanks to the significant mobilization of numerous actors and volunteers for vaccination efforts in the fight against the pandemic.
