France recorded 54 Covid-19 related deaths in hospitals over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 29,209 since the beginning of the epidemic, according to a report released on Monday by the Directorate General of Health (DGS).
Furthermore, the net number of severe Covid-19 cases requiring intensive care hospitalization continues its slow but steady decline: it decreased to 1,024 people on Monday, which is 29 less compared to Sunday. The balance remains negative in intensive care, with 70 fewer patients compared to Friday.
Nevertheless, 23 new severe cases were admitted to intensive care, compared to only 9 on June 1st. There are 12,315 people hospitalized for a Covid-19 infection, which is 2,027 less than on June 1st.
