With 499 more deaths in hospitals within 24 hours, the total death toll from the coronavirus in France is now 3,523.
This figure was given by Jérôme Salomon, the Director General of Health. He also indicated that 558 additional patients had been placed in intensive care in the past 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the health crisis, 104 people have died in the Paca region, announced the Regional Health Agency (ARS) on Tuesday evening.
321 patients are still in intensive care, 1,321 are still hospitalized. In total, 5,078 people have tested positive.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, 39 people have succumbed since the beginning of the crisis.
