Dominique Estrosi-Sassone presented her best wishes to the employees and congratulated them on their work. The president of Côte d’Azur Habitat also asked them “not to give up, even [if they feel] their work is in vain.” Indeed, many uncivil acts spoil some of the work carried out by the employees of Côte d’Azur Habitat, especially those working in maintenance. The deputy mayor reminded that “Côte d’Azur Habitat fulfills its missions, but these have limits which are up to the municipal police, particularly in terms of crime.”

The 2011 Report

The missions of Côte d’Azur Habitat are diverse: construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, and leasing.

In 2011, 9 rehabilitation projects were delivered, totaling 250 housing units, in Grasse, Menton, Isola, and Nice. Similarly, 4 construction projects were delivered, totaling 61 housing units.

Côte d’Azur Habitat was also a winner of a contest organized by EDF, as part of sustainable development, and received €20,000 for rehabilitation projects in Les Moulins.

The president reminded that the mission of Côte d’Azur Habitat is not to evict. This extreme decision is only used in cases of significant problems encountered with the tenant.

2011 also saw the implementation of meetings with tenants. These allow them to raise concerns, malfunctions, or issues encountered.

Côte d’Azur Habitat conducts internal actions for employee well-being at work. “It is important that you (employees) feel good at your workplace,” emphasized Dominique Estrosi-Sassone.

Objectives for 2012

During the year, 3 construction operations (100 housing units) and 6 rehabilitation operations (500 housing units) will be delivered. Twenty-two other projects (construction and rehabilitation) will be launched during the year, totaling 2,694 housing units.

The deputy mayor reiterated her commitment to continue handling tenant complaints and to apply the tenant welcome charter. “The satisfaction rate must continue to increase!” she declared.

The president expressed her desire to “spend better, without spending more,” and to make Côte d’Azur Habitat a driving force in the Metropolis.

At the end of the speech, 21 agents received the work honor medal and 5 recently retired agents were honored.
