The Winter Meetings 2012-2013 will run from December 3, 2012, to March 15, 2013, featuring 62 Events, including 56 Premium (10 Nocturnal) and 19 Daytime Special Events. The obstacle races are scheduled from December 3 to January 8, the flat races from January 15 to February 23, and the Trot from December 6 to March 15.

Saturday, January 5: Race of the Gallopers

The great Jockeys’ Race will be renamed “There’s No More Obstacle”: the world of galloping will participate in a real trot race, open to betting. It will be an opportunity to test the talent of the Gallopers as they take on the sulkies of the Trotters. The Jockeys will also be available for an autograph session.

Sunday, January 6: Great Obstacle Day

The Great Obstacle Day will conclude, as every year, the Obstacle Meeting at the Hippodrome of the Côte d’Azur. The program includes the Grand Prix de la Ville de Nice – Grand Steeple Chase (Group III), the Grande Course de Haies de Cagnes, the Prix Christian de l’Hermite, and the Prix André Masséna. These high-level races will be punctuated by an equestrian show.

Friday, January 11: Prix de la Côte d’Azur

Sunday, January 27: broadcast of the Prix d’Amérique

The Hippodrome of the Côte d’Azur will broadcast live on a giant screen the famous race taking place at the Hippodrome of Vincennes.

Saturday, February 2: Day of the City of Cagnes-sur-Mer

Sunday, February 10: Mediterranean Championship

The Mediterranean will be honored during the Mediterranean Championship of Flat Jockeys, bringing together jockeys from different Mediterranean nations who will be entrusted with the horses of participating trainers from the Azurian Winter Meeting.

Saturday, February 16: Ladies and Gentlemen’s Race – Fegentri Event

The Fegentri (International Federation of Gentleman Riders and Lady Jockeys) is an amateur circuit with around fifty stages in a dozen countries. A Fegentri event will take place at the Hippodrome of the Côte d’Azur. The site will be adorned with the colors of different nations.

Saturday, February 23: Galop Challenge – Activity: “The Little Educational Farm”

The Hippodrome of the Côte d’Azur will host the first stage of this Challenge, held over 16 stages on major French and foreign Hippodromes. It will mark the highlight of the Flat Meeting.
It will be a chance to revisit a much-loved attraction from last year: the small educational farm, offering children discovery workshops and an opportunity to meet farm animals.

Sunday, March 10: Grand Critérium de Vitesse

This legendary event, which has seen the greatest Trot champions triumph, is held annually over a mile. It traditionally brings together the best champions of the moment. This splendid meeting will feature an equestrian show and will precede the closure of the Winter Meeting ending on March 15.
