Court Me!
March 9, 10, and 11
The 2011/2012 MAE art class (Master in Business Administration) from IAE Nice (Institute of Business Administration) is organizing several professional projects to showcase their skills and build a network around the program.
โIn collaboration with the commune of Saint-Paul de Vence, the MAE art students from IAE Nice are organizing a three-day contemporary art exhibition with a series of conferences on March 9, 10, and 11, 2012, at the Espace Verdet located in Saint-Paul de Vence. The event is called โCourt Me.โโ
It is a collective exhibition of artists from various backgrounds. It gives voice to the artwork, which calls out to the viewer: โCourt Me!โ
This invitation to a surprising contemporary art, often perceived as opaque, signifies that the goal is no longer to seduce the public but to engage them, to prompt questions: come closer, look at me, what do you see?
It is then up to the viewer to take a step toward the artwork. To tame it. To learn to know it. Essentially, to court it!
The aim is to create a playful space for questioning, raising awareness, and democratizing contemporary art.
The opening will take place on Friday, March 9, with presentations of artistic performances. On March 10, the conference series on art related to philosophical and psychoanalytical themes will begin. Finally, on March 11, the last two conferences will be held by a director and a psychologist.
The MAE (Master in Business Administration) specializing in art and cultural tourism from IAE Nice trains students for management careers in culture, combining management and art history to enable students to acquire dual skills. This program, created in 2010 under the direction of Catherine Papetti, takes place in Saint Paul de Vence.
