Hospitalizations due to Covid infections continue their slow increase. According to figures from Santé publique France, 7,535 people are hospitalized due to a Covid-19 infection, compared to 6,851 a week ago. Additionally, hospitals have recorded 647 new admissions in the last 24 hours, compared to 409 on November 8.
In critical care units as well, the curve has not gone down for several days. Currently, 1,277 people are being treated for severe cases of the coronavirus, compared to 1,140 seven days earlier. In the past 24 hours, 135 patients have been admitted to these units. They were 99 on November 8.
Furthermore, 48 new deaths due to the epidemic have been reported by health authorities.
