New update on the health situation in France. No major changes compared to previous days, except for a slight decrease in new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The Minister of Health, Olivier Vรฉran, welcomed the “scaling up” of the vaccination campaign, while the number of coronavirus cases does not weaken.

France recorded 19,814 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 2,747,135 since the start of the epidemic, according to figures released Friday by Santรฉ Publique France.

This figure is slightly lower compared to the previous day, where 21,703 cases had been recorded, which is explained by the fact that the figures were stopped at 2 p.m., instead of the usual 5 p.m.

Government data also reports 34,305 people vaccinated this Friday, and 281 deaths in 24 hours, thus bringing the total to 67,431 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. Additionally, 8,483 new hospitalizations have been recorded over the past seven days, including 1,313 in intensive care. The test positivity rate stands at 6%.
