The Ministry of Solidarity and Health has released the latest figures related to the coronavirus epidemic.
The Directorate General of Health (DGS) has published new figures on the evolution of COVID-19 in the country. Since yesterday, 556 new cases have been detected and 29 new deaths have been recorded, bringing the total number of people who have succumbed to coronavirus contamination in France to 30,294, including 19,779 in hospitals and 10,515 in social and medico-social establishments.
The number of new admissions continues to increase (+142 people), bringing the total number of COVID patients to 5,198. Among them, 384 patients (29 new admissions in 24 hours) are currently in intensive care.
The Ministry of Solidarity and Health also emphasizes that it is still critically important to follow protective measures during family and friendly gatherings.
