Covid-19: 309 deaths in 24 hours, slight decrease in intensive care

This Friday, the latest figures released by health authorities indicate a still tense situation within French hospitals. There, 30,438 Covid-19 patients are still being cared for in French facilities, compared to 30,634 on Thursday and 30,472 last Friday. In the last 24 hours, 1,932 new patients had to be hospitalized.

Among this total number of hospitalizations, 5,962 patients are suffering from severe forms of the disease that require care in critical care units. In the last 24 hours, 436 new patients were admitted to these specialized services.

In the last 24 hours, an additional 309 deaths have been reported in French hospitals. There had been 285 over the same period on Wednesday and 309 a week ago.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 13,811,101 people have received at least one injection (representing 20.6% of the total population and 26.3% of the adult population), and 5,385,052 people have received two injections (representing 8.0% of the total population and 10.3% of the adult population).
