As part of France enters a second week under new restrictions, health authorities recorded 194 new Covid-19 related deaths this Saturday.
These 194 new deaths, which occurred in hospitals, bring the total number of deaths in France (including those in nursing homes and other medical-social establishments) to at least 94,496 since the beginning of the epidemic.
In hospitals specifically, 27,259 patients are currently being treated for a new coronavirus infection, with 1,567 new admissions recorded in the last 24 hours. There were 27,242 patients on Friday and 25,537 last Saturday. Of this total, 4,791 patients are in intensive care (with 332 new admissions) compared to 4,766 on Friday and 4,353 last Saturday.
