The latest report from the DGS regarding the COVID-19 epidemic shows more than 8,500 cases in just 24 hours. A figure slightly higher than the last two days, but which is stabilizing.


No fewer than 71 clusters have been detected in the last 24 hours, which is 20 fewer than yesterday. The number of patients admitted to an intensive care unit continues to fluctuate (71 in the last 24 hours compared to more than 80 at the start of the week and around fifty last week), bringing the total number of patients in intensive care to 599.

Thirty people have died from the coronavirus, bringing the total number of men and women who have succumbed to the disease to 30,794.
Since the start of the epidemic, more than nine million tests have been conducted, with over one million in the past seven days. Since August 31, 5.2% of these PCR tests have come back positive.
