Covid-19: 8,045 new cases, 409 deaths this Tuesday

8,045 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in 24 hours in France, according to figures published on Tuesday, compared to 10,793 the previous day.

In total, 4,841,308 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic in France.

The pressure in intensive care units continues to increase, with 5,626 Covid-19 patients hospitalized in these units on Tuesday, including 632 admitted in the last 24 hours.

Hospitals had a total of 30,639 Covid-19 patients, with 2,459 hospitalized in the last 24 hours. As for the number of deaths, it now stands at 97,301. 409 people died in the last 24 hours in the hospital.

Regarding vaccination, since the start of the campaign in France, 9,526,509 people have received at least one injection (i.e., 14.2% of the total population) and 3,242,743 people have received two injections (i.e., 4.8% of the total population).

In the last 24 hours, 275,772 people were vaccinated: 175,180 received a first dose and 100,592 received a second injection.
