Positive signal after the lifting of certain restrictions, such as the requirement to wear masks in indoor areas subject to the vaccination pass: the COVID-19 incidence rate has decreased sevenfold in just one month in the Alpes-Maritimes.

After experiencing sharp increases in recent months, the COVID-19 incidence rate is finally on the decline.

Indeed, according to the latest available data from Santé publique France, the Alpes-Maritimes recorded 642 cases per 100,000 inhabitants during the week of February 18 to 24, nearly 7 times less than on January 21 (4,293 cases).

Nevertheless, caution is still required since the numbers are roughly at the same level as last summer, when the epidemic was at its peak.
