If the first, second, and third waves caught public officials by surprise (culpably?), the fourth is being awaited with firm determination. Moreover, it is so anticipated that if this expectation were not to become reality… there would almost be disappointment.
To stay in Nice and while waiting for the word from the resident of the Élysée, Christian Estrosi announced that the city of Nice would launch an application on August 1st modeled after #TousAntiCovid.
“This application must be downloaded to participate in the ‘My Summer in Nice’ events. It will detect if the user has come close to someone diagnosed positive for the coronavirus.”
The obligatory wearing of masks that we were starting to forget is making a firm comeback, at least in certain areas on certain occasions.
The city of Nice will very soon issue an order to make mask-wearing mandatory in “all areas open to the public” and at “all events.”
We’re back to square one.
