COVID-19 / Creation of an 8-million-euro emergency fund to support businesses in the department

Institutional actors in the department have created an emergency fund amounting to a total of 8 million Euros (Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes: €5M, Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis: €1M, Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry: €500K, French Riviera Agglomeration Community: €500K, Cannes Lérins Agglomeration Community: €400K, Sophia Antipolis Agglomeration Community: €400K, Pays de Grasse Agglomeration Community: €200K).

This fund takes the form of a zero-interest loan and complements other arrangements and funds implemented by the Government and the Southern Region.

The Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the CMAR PACA, and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Chamber of Agriculture are the points of contact for handling requests from their constituents and allocating funds based on the defined criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:

Companies can apply for a zero-interest loan with an 18-month deferment.

The criteria currently applicable (non-exhaustive) are:

Companies located in Alpes-Maritimes with a turnover of less than €2M and fewer than 20 employees;
Companies up to date with their social and tax contributions as of December 31, 2019;
Companies that have suffered a minimum 50% loss in their turnover over 1 month starting from January 2020 compared to the same period in the previous year and the year before last.

Level of Aid

Companies can benefit from a minimum loan of €4,000 up to a maximum of €10,000, depending on their situation.
